SUN REAL Renewable Energy Systems

Welcome!

SUN REAL is the major provider of stand alone and grid connected power systems in the North East of Victoria. Our work is highly regarded within the industry and was recently described as the "best seen in Victoria" by our accreditation body, the Business Council for Sustainable Energy.

The quality of our installations and customer support are also highly regarded by our clients who have for many years been our primary source of referrals.

This site contains support information for our clients, some introductory information for prospective clients and articles from our newsletter, The Sun Realist.

News

The big news of the moment is of course the increase in the Photovoltaic Rebate Program from $4000 to $8000 but there are some other, less obvious changes that will be at least as welcome for our clients and prospective clients.

Briefly, the PVRP for upgrades to existing systems has also doubled - from $2.50 to $5.00 per watt. This is excellent news if you already have a system but need more panels.

If you are an existing client then you will receive first priority on what we expect will be limited supplies of modules over the next 6 to 12 months. We are carrying good stock levels of modules at the moment but it will pay to get in touch soon if you are planning to upgrade your system so we can reserve some for you.

Perhaps the most exciting news for us is that Victorians will finally have access to the RRPGP, or Renewable Remote Power Generation Programme. Details are sketchy at the moment but it appears that from July, you will be able to claim a rebate of up to 50% of your stand alone system cost if you are facing high costs - $30,000 or more - to connect to the electricity grid. There are conditions as always with rebates, so give us a ring to find out whether you qualify.

See the Change Log for older news.

About us

SUN REAL was founded in January 1995 by Martin Nichol and Richard Morton to offer a high quality alternative to the often prohibitive costs of connecting to mains power in rural areas. We take an active role in the industry and are constantly developing and refining our design and installation methods.

We offer other products and services either as an adjunct to our power systems, i.e. low energy refrigeration, or to fulfil the demand for products such as solar hot water which are not well supported by traditional suppliers in the region.
