Why there is no email address

This is primarily because we're a regional business and, as much as we like conversing with fellow enthusiasts from far away places, it is very difficult for us to allocate resources to answering queries from people outside our area of operation.

Our experience is that a telephone discussion is by far the most effective way to answer people's initial questions, so we encourage interested parties to make contact in this way. This is not an attempt to get you on our database so we can sell your details or deluge you with junk mail - we do not engage in either practice. Simply what we've found to be the best way to assist people in determining whether we can provide solutions.

Technical Information

We have tried to make this site as fast and flexible as possible, so if you have a slow dial up connection &/or a small computer screen, it should still load reasonably quickly and will adjust to your screen size.

All pages validate to the HTML 4.0.1 standard and will look best in standards compliant browsers that support Cascading Style Sheets. Generally speaking, this means a minimum of version 4 browsers, though version 5 or higher browsers tend to do a better job. Designing to a W3C standard ensures that the site will be readable regardless of the viewing device and provides maximum accessibility to people with disabilities.

Unfortunately, the most common browser in use - Internet Explorer 6 - is the least compliant and least secure of all modern browsers. So if you are using Windows you will probably be much better off with Firefox or Opera, both of which are not only more compliant and secure but also offer features not available in IE.
